Die relevanten Forschungsprozesse und die diese unterstützenden Informationssysteme sind gegenwärtig aktueller Forschungsgegenstand. Insbesondere stehen hier Fragestellungen zum Datenschutz, Urheberschutz, Datenkurrierung und Archivierung seitens des Prozessmanagements, sowie Virtualisierung, Verfügbarkeit, die Bereitstellung von Dienstleistungen und die Anforderungsanalyse im Forschungsprozess seitens der Informationssysteme im Vordergrund.
